Coronation Street actor Michael Le Vell has said that he thinks soap couple Kevin and Sally Webster are ‘meant to be’, despite their on-off relationship.

The couple, who have been married twice, have had a rocky partnership since they first tied the knot in 1986 – last splitting nine months ago after Sally found out about his affair with Molly Dobbs which resulted in her baby son Jack.

But with current storylines suggesting they may get back together once again, Michael told Inside Soap: “It feels like they’re meant to be together. But Kevin did a very bad thing, and baby Jack will always be there to remind her of that.”

And co-star Sally Dynevor said their current fling might be the first step to mending their marriage.

“I don’t know why she didn’t kick him out ages ago – she took him in out of pity,” she said.

“I think she does really care about Kevin, though. Maybe they can live happily ever after, but it’s all so confusing.”

“Kev realises that he’s going to have his work cut out convincing Sally that they should be back together,” Michael added.

“But whatever happens, Kevin won’t give up. It’s just a case of waiting for Sally to come round to his way of thinking!”
