Coronation Street‘s Michelle Keegan says she looks and feels better in real life thanks to her new romance storyline.
Her character, Tina McIntyre, is soon to embark on a relationship with loveable Graeme Proctor (Craig Gazey), following months of grief over the death of her dad.
She told TV Times: “It’s good that Tina’s not crying for Joe any more. It’s great when you get a storyline like that but I was so tired.
“I got cold sores and was really run down – I think your body actually thinks it’s grieving. If you’re smiling, it thinks it’s happy, so with this storyline I’ve noticed a difference in how I think and feel.”
Meanwhile, Craig promised that viewers will see a vulnerable side to his Graeme, who will reveal he lost his virginity to his best friend’s mum and hasn’t had a girlfriend since year five in school.
