Kerry Katona has visited the set of Coronation Street and met the soap’s casting director, as she tries to land a role in the show.
The former member of pop group Atomic Kitten is a massive fan of Coronation Street. She is reportedly keen to reignite her TV career with a part in the Weatherfield soap.
A spokesperson for Corrie said: “Kerry did pop in to see the casting director.
“She wasn’t auditioning for a specific part. It was more a case of keeping her in mind.”
The troubled star has now moved back to her Cheshire mansion following an armed robbery three weeks ago. Kerry was held hostage by masked gunmen whilst she held her five-month-old baby Heidi.
She has also been left devastated by claims that her husband Mark Croft has been unfaithful to her – she has apparently agreed to take back him back, on the condition that he undergoes a lie detector test.
She has two others daughters – Molly, five, and Lilly Sue, four – with ex-husband and former Westlife member Brian McFadden.
Kerry’s last high-profile television appearance was on I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! in 2004.
She won the third series of the reality show.
