Former Dallas star Charlene Tilton has become the latest celebrity to get the boot from Dancing On Ice , with her luck finally running out after she found herself in her third consecutive skate-off.

The 52-year-old actress – best known as Lucy Ewing in the glamorous US soap – saw off competition from Mark Rhodes and Corey Feldman over the past two weeks – but she lost out when she found herself up against Sam Nixon on Sunday’s pop-themed show.

And after both had reprised their routines – Charlene to Lady Gaga’s Poker Face and Sam and Alexandra to Wake Me Up Before You Go Go – the judges were in no doubt as to who they wanted to save.

“Charlene, you did deliver when the heat was on but it doesn’t compete with Sam,” Robin Cousins told her while Katarina Witt added, “It was a more solid performance than your first one but I want Sam and Alexandra to ‘go go’ into next week.”

However Charlene appeared to have accepted her fate following her previous brushes with the skate-off.

“I have had the most amazing experience,” she gushed, “I have worked with the best wardrobe and hair and makeup team that I have ever worked with.

“I have gotten to meet these amazing pro skaters and God love you, you take such good care of us. You keep this thing going, I love all of you, you are amazing! I am in the presence of greatness. Louie I am taking you to LA and you are my new BFF, Robin and Katarina I love you guys.”

Earlier in the show Charlene’s routine received a mixed response from the judges, with Robin saying, “There is nothing new that you are doing…it’s not enough right now.” Katarina, meanwhile, added, “I am so disappointed because I was looking forward to your perky personality and I missed that. The lift was great, the flexibility was amazing but it is about improving your skating.”

Ten couples now remain to compete in next Sunday’s Valentine-themed show, with favourites Jorgie Porter and Matthew Wolfenden among those who made it through on the public vote.
