It’s the semi-final of Dancing on Ice 2011 – and the celebrities have to skate solo for the first time. But who will win a place in next weekend’s final….?
Chloe Madeley kicked off the evening – but her routine ran into problems when she and partner Michael Zenezini took a tumble on the ice
Johnson Beharry VC was second on to the ice, and hoping for a good result
The war hero was hoping to avoid another brush with the skate-off – but he received the lowest scores from the judges
Laura Hamilton delivered another complex and slick routine which included a risky looking spin
Finally Sam Attwater rounded off the first part of the show – and he found himself back on top of the leaderboard after slipping in recent weeks
Then it was time for the solo performances – and Chloe started them off, skating to That’s Not My Name in a sparkling red and white striped frock
Johnson performed to the hit Don’t Worry Be Happy – but Jason indicated he was worried and not happy with his routine
However Laura won warm praise for her solo routine, which saw her wearing tiny denim hotpants and boots
Finally, Sam took to the ice on his own – and received the highest score of the night for his funky, fast-paced solo efforts
In the results show, Sam and Brianne Delcourt were the first couple to learn they had made it through to next weekend’s final
Laura also made it through, leaving left Johnson and Chloe to battle it out in the skate off for that last spot in the final
And in the end it was time to say goodbye to Johnson as the judges voted unanimously to save Chloe – but he kept on smiling despite missing out on the final
Which left Chloe, Sam and Laura as this year’s finalists. Next weekend one of them will be crowned the champion of Dancing On Ice 2011….
