Just six contestants remain in Dancing On Ice 2011 – and as they compete to remain in the competition, there’s a twist in store….
First up this week was Denise Welch, who slowed down the tempo from the previous week’s samba with a routine to 80s hit Alone
Her post-routine interview started off well enough….
…..but took an unexpected turn when Denise’s husband Tim Healy took offence to Jason Gardiner’s comments – and took to the stage to make his feelings known
Jeff Brazier fared well with his snappy routine to Hit The Road Jack, once again making a good impression on judges and public
Sam Attwater performed a gentle, romantic routine this week – but Robin Cousins accused him of trying too hard
Chloe Madeley was dressed in bright blue for her routine to Empire State Of Mind
The TV presenter nabbed her highest score yet – 26.5 for her performance, which was influenced by a trip to ballet class earlier in the week
Johnson Beharry VC received high praise for his elegant routine from the judges – and some of his best scores so far. But would it be enough to keep him out of the skate-off?
Laura Hamilton rounded off the main part of the show with a high-octane routine to the 80s hit I’m So Excited
The celebrity skaters also took part in a challenge in which they formed teams and performed group routines. The winners had their judges’ scores doubled, but the losers stayed the same – and Jeff and Isabelle got lucky with the winning side
The results show featured a performance from Nicole Scherzinger – who was recently seen on The X Factor as a guest judge
To her amazement, she received the highest score of the series so far – an impressive 28.5, with 9.5s from all of the judges
Denise and Johnson found themselves in the skate-off for the first time following the public vote
But in the end it was time to say goodbye to Denise – who expressed her amazement at having progressed so far in the show. Five now remain, to tackle props week next Sunday….
