Dancing On Ice and Splash! are both set to return to screens in early January, ITV has announced.

The final series of Dancing On Ice will premiere on January 5 at 6.15pm, while diving show Splash! will start on January 4 at 7.20pm.

The news was announced on the ITV Press Centre Twitter account.

“Confirmed. Splash! with @TomDaley1994 returns Saturday 4 January at 7.20pm on ITV,” they wrote, followed by: “Confirmed. Dancing on Ice returns Sunday 5 January 6.15pm on ITV @dancingonice #DOI.”

There could be a potential clash with rival channel BBC, with the new series of singing competition The Voice, featuring judges Sir Tom Jones, Will.i.am, Kylie Minogue and Ricky Wilson, rumoured to begin around January 11.

The ninth and final season of Dancing On Ice, hosted again by Phillip Schofield and Christine Bleakley, will bow out with an all-star special, featuring former champions and popular celebrities from the last eight years.

Christopher Dean and Jayne Torvill will again train the celebrities as they celebrate the 30th anniversary of their gold-medal winning Bolero routine.

Contestants for the ice-skating show include last year’s champion Beth Tweddle, along with previous winners Suzanne Shaw, Hayley Tamaddon, Kyran Bracken and Sam Attwater.

The celebrity line-up for Splash! – which will be presented by Vernon Kay and Gabby Logan – has yet to be announced, although TV presenter Paul Ross, soap star Gemma Merna and Saturdays singer Una Foden are among the names rumoured.
