Holby City actor Jeremy Edwards is the latest casualty of Dancing on Ice, losing in the skate-off against rugby league legend Ellery Hanley.

Jeremy and his partner Darya repeated their routine to George Michael’s Faith, but their performance in the skate-off was worse than on the early show.

And the judges unanimously voted to keep Ellery in Dancing on Ice.

The ITV1 show’s resident acid tongue Jason Gardiner said: “It’s sink or swim in the skate-off and tonight it was quite easy to see who sunk!”

By some distance the worst skater on the show, Todd Carty was somehow saved by the public vote after being in last place with just 9.5 points out of 30 after the early show.

Todd’s clumsy performance was crowned when he ‘mistakenly’ skated off the rink at the climax of his routine. Has the public found John Sergeant Mark II?

Actor-singer Ray Quinn was the outstanding skater this week, scoring 25 out of 30 and earning gushing praise from the judges and his partner Maria Fillipov.
