Dancing on Ice competitor Elen Rivas has revealed she was ‘heartbroken when she saw pictures of ex-partner Frank lampard with Daybreak presenter Christine Bleakley.
Elen, 35, told the Sunday Mirror: “I was heartbroken when me and Frank separated. I suppose I thought maybe, just maybe, we’d get back together, so it was hard seeing him with another woman.”
Elen revealed that after two years of being single, she’s ready for a new love, but “I’m not somebody who jumps from one person to another. I can’t just fall into bed with somebody.”
Mum to Isla, three, and Luna, five, she admits Frank ‘put her in a bubble’ as she became a stay-at-home mother, which she now regrets.
Elen said: “A woman needs other interests. Sometimes you just end up nagging. Our rows got worse after Isla was born. All couples have problems when the kids are small. I think maybe, if we’d tried harder, who knows?”
But while Elen may be over Frank she is brutally honest about her attitude to Christine, saying: “I don’t really know her, but if she was ever unkind to the girls I’d knock her down. All I care about is my children’s happiness.”
Elen competes in Dancing on Ice, which premieres on ITV1 on Sunday night.
