Dancing On Ice judge Christopher Dean has admitted he is worried the audience may vote off some of the best skaters in the early rounds.
The format of the show is changing as this year there are just three judges and 16 celebrities competing. The first two weeks will see eight celebrities perform, and just six from each week go through to the next stages.
Christopher told This Morning: “The people that will be choosing are not going to be the judges, it’s going to be just the public who they want to see performing and moving forward in the competition.
“There is a fear to some degree… maybe some of our lesser known celebrities that might be good… we may lose them.”
The voting changes aren’t the only difference to the show, which is now being filmed in HD.
Christopher said: “There are lots of format changes… We’ve seen your new home where you’re going to be standing. It looks fantastic – it’s really magical with lots of lights, it looks spectacular.
“You’re going to get real up close and see how they are feeling and with the new set in the new studio.”
