Emma Bunton has spoken of her excitement at the forthcoming Spice Girls musical Viva Forever, promising fans of the band that it will be ‘amazing’.

The former Spice Girl turned Dancing on Ice judge said she could not wait to see the show, which is being written by comedienne Jennifer Saunders and produced by the team behind Abba-themed hit Mamma Mia – but added she was sworn to secrecy about the story.

“It’s going to be amazing,” she said ahead of returning to her Heart FM radio show on Saturday. ” I’ve heard a little bit about the story but it’s top secret. We’ve been in touch with the producer and the writer.”

And Emma, who recently gave birth to her second son Tate, also said she had remained close to her fellow former Spice Girls – Victoria Beckham, Geri Halliwell, Melanie Chisholm and Melanie Brown – since they all became parents.

She said: “Now we’ve all had children there is so much for us to chat about and we keep in touch with emails.

“Now we’ve got about 10 Spice Girl babies and I love them all. My son’s birthday is coming up and that’s a good chance for us to meet up.”
