Dancing On Ice reject Tim Vincent has sworn that he will never put on ice skates again unless ‘hell freezes over’.

The TV presenter, 35, lost out to his friend Steve Backley in Sunday night’s skate-off after missing out one of the components of his routine to Mika’s Love Today.

He said he would stay in touch with most of the other celebrity contestants, adding: “Aggie [MacKenzie] is coming to my house on Sunday to watch the show.”

But he said he would not keep up his new sport: “When hell freezes over – only that would give me a reason to skate again.”

Tim also blamed his outfit on his poor performance, saying: “It looked like a monkey had been sick on it!”

And he hoped pals Steve and Greg to win the show. “If the principal of the show is taking someone who has never skated, they should win – but Chris is fantastic. It’s really between him, Suzanne and Gareth.

“Anything could happen because they’re going to start doing some dangerous moves.”

He said the best part of the show had been meeting people and the worst things were falling and seeing people get knocked out. “It’s one less mate to hang out with,” he said.

Tim will be covering the Heather Mills and Paul McCartney divorce case this week for US network NBC and is set to host a new Euromillions show in the UK for the next three months.
