Dancing On Ice star Kerry Katona has admitted she sought advice from her counsellors after falling victim to judge Jason Gardiner’s catty comments.
The 30-year-old told the News Of The World that her confidence was knocked by the controversial judge two weeks ago when he accused her of being ‘dependent’ on skating partner Dan Whiston.
He also said that one of her moves made her look as if she were having an ‘internal examination’.
“I try not to give a s*** about his comments any more because they are so hurtful and so personal,” Kerry admitted. “But I’m still a very fragile person. I take it to heart.”
And she revealed that she turned to psychologists Nik and Eva Speakman – who helped her to quit drugs – for advice.
“They really helped. A lot of how I was feeling was because of how Jason put me down on TV,” Kerry added.
And she added her voice to those calling for Jason – who caused a storm on last week’s show when he argued with Karen Barber over Johnson Beharry’s performance – to be fired.
“At first I thought it was just a bit of pantomime with Jason – but it is as real as it gets,” Kerry revealed. “It’s so hurtful. He gets far too personal. It can knock you massively.
“It’s taking me a while to get my confidence back. All I can say is bring Louie Spence on in Jason’s place. He would make his criticism funny, not personal.”
