Gemma Bissix has urged Dancing On Ice viewers to vote for show underdogs Todd Carty and Coleen Nolan – because it will drive judge Jason Gardiner mad.
The former EastEnders actress is reeling after the acid-tongued judge branded her a “cardboard cut-out” during Sunday night’s skate-off, in which she lost out to model Melinda Messenger.
Now the soap star wants viewers to get behind ex-EastEnder Todd and Loose Women panelist Coleen – in the same way that the public’s support of John Sergeant infuriated the Strictly Come Dancing judges.
She told The Sun: “Let’s have a Todd and Coleen final. It will be brilliant. They could be another John Sergeant. The public have realised they are in control of the leaderboard. It will drive Jason mad if they carry on doing well.”
Gemma also slammed Jason for criticising Emmerdale star Roxanne Pallett and former Liberty X singer Jessica Taylor.
She said: “He was unfair to Roxy and unfair to Jessica, so you can’t listen to him. When he called me a cardboard cut-out it was unnecessary. I gave up listening to him – it’s just all negative and not worth it.”
But judge Jason has hit back at Gemma’s comments, saying: “She can say what she likes – she’s out of the show, so who cares! They come and they go.”
He added: “I do know what I’m talking about and it was a unanimous decision. We all kept Melinda in over Gemma because she came through when she needed to deliver.”
