It seems Duncan James isn’t very comfy on the Dancing On Ice show. The 27-year-old former Blue singer is apparently being given physiotherapy and his ice costume is proving to be uncomfortable.

Speaking about the thong he has to wear for the performances, he told The Sun: “It’s skin coloured and cuts right up my bottom. I don’t know how women cope with thongs. It is really demanding on the groin area. The jockstrap chafes like hell. The clothes that I have to wear button up underneath my privates too – and that is uncomfortable. It’s like wearing a giant babygro with skates. I never realised the wardrobe would be so restricting,” he grumbled.

Speaking about the physical demands of the show, he said: “If I overdo it, there is great pain in my back. This show is the hardest thing I’ve ever done.”

Dancing On Ice seems to be plagued by injuries. Earlier this month fellow contestant Ulrika Jonsson reportedly injured her spine while trying a daring move. Other contestants who have sustained injuries while preparing for the show reportedly include Clare Buckfield, Kay Burley, Lisa Scott Lee and Emily Symons.
