The original co-hosts will reportedly return to the ITV ice dance show when it returns in 2018
Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby will reportedly return to co-host the revamped Dancing on Ice on ITV.
The show is being brought back after three years off air, with the original hosts Phillip and Holly back on the mic.
A source reportedly told The Sun: “It’s a massive coup for ITV to have Holly and Phil back on board. Producers love the idea of going back to the original line-up and they’re both really excited to return to their roots.”
Other reports suggest iconic Olympic stars Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean would return, but on the judging panel rather than coaching for this series, while popular pro dancer Sylvain Longchambon would also return.
Sylvain married dance partner, Coronation Street’s Samia Ghadie, in 2016.
An insider said: “‘Dancing on Ice’ is going to look quite different when it comes back. Torvill and Dean are going to be on the judging panel so there will need to be a new approach to teaching the celebs to skate.
“Things are still up in the air and a lot of new skaters are being considered and approached, so the line-up of pros could look totally different. But Sylvain will definitely be at least one familiar face when the show comes back early next year. There is also talk of him taking a coaching role with Torvill and Dean moving to the judging panel.”
