The male and female contestants in Dancing On Ice have performed together for the first time this series in a bid to stay in the competition.
And as with previous weeks the celebrities delivered a mixed bag of performances, with the likes of Danny Young, Hayley Tamaddon and Kieron Richardson once again impressing the judges.
Emmerdale star Tamaddon kicked off the show and improved on her previous showing, scoring 19.5 from the judges.
Jason Gardiner described her peformance as “incredible”, while Karen Barber said, “It was totally different from your first routine, and we’ll see you go from strength”.
A nervous Young also fared well, despite having a difficult week in training. Although he did not score as well as last week, he still found favour with the judges. “Full credit to you for what you just did, well done,” said Barber.
And Richardson also won praise, with Nicky Slater describing his routine as a “good effort” – although Gardiner was not so keen.
It was also a good night for Danniella Westbrook and Mikey Graham. “I enjoy watching you,” Emma Bunton told Westbrook,”and that’s what is important.” Boyzone star Graham, meanwhile, proved popular with Slater. “Your smile lights up the room,” he told him.
At the other end of the scoreboard it wasn’t such a good night for Tana Ramsay actress Emily Atack and Holby City’s Jeremy Sheffield – although the lowest score of the night was reserved for Dr Hilary Jones who received just 7.5 points from the judges.
“It was laboured and uncomfortable,” Robin Cousins said of Jones’ routine, during which he noticeably slipped on the ice. And Bunton was not impressed either.
“I literally couldn’t breathe through the whole dance,” she said, “I didn’t enjoy it.”
The results will be announced later on Sunday evening, with one more celebrity eliminated from the show.
