Dancing On Ice‘s last ever finalists have spoken about how sad they are that the show is coming to an end.

Ray Quinn, Hayley Tamaddon and Beth Tweddle will compete for the title of champion of champions in the last ever episode of the ITV skating contest.

Coronation Street actress Hayley said: “I think it’s really sad Dancing On Ice is coming to an end, it’s one of the best TV shows – in fact, for me the best TV show ever – and it’s sad, it’s nine years.”

Former X Factor runner-up Ray agreed: “It’s a massive piece of history really. We’ve just managed to be a little piece of that and to be in the end one is fantastic. There’ll be some sad times on Sunday. I’ve got the man-size Kleenex at the ready.”

Olympic gymnast Beth said that they were looking forward to a spectacular final show: “We’ve all been champions and we all want to go out and give it a last big bang, because it’s such an amazing show to celebrate.”

Hayley added of her nerves: “I call it ‘the jelly legs’ because the nerves go straight to my legs and you can’t feel your feet sometimes.

“The last couple of weeks I’ve felt it a little bit less because I’ve felt more excited because it’s coming to the end. Now we’re in the final we’ve got to enjoy every second of this because it’s going to go so fast and then it’ll be gone.”

The final episode of Dancing On Ice airs on ITV on Sunday 9 March 2014.
