EastEnders‘ Nasty Nick Cotton is set to make another explosive exit from the long-running BBC1 soap.

The villain torches Ian Beale’s cafe after his scam to fleece mum Dot (June Brown) falls flat, leaving him holding several regulars – including Bradley Branning – hostage in the eatery, according to The Sun.

After a blast rips through the place, viewers are left wondering whether the tattooed thug – played by John Altman – has survived.

An EastEnders source told the newspaper: “Nick is causing chaos and all his lies are catching up with him.

“He goes into the caff and a fire is started, Bradley is one of the key people involved – but will Nick live or die?”

June revealed that she hopes Nick doesn’t leave the show yet again, leaving Dot without family.

She said: “Every time I get some they take them away from me.”

In the aftermath of the blaze, the cafe will get a new look, with Ian using his insurance money to turn it into a retro diner.

The scenes are due to air over the summer months.
