Rita Simons says that becoming a mum has made her boring.
The EastEnders star – who plays maneater Roxy Mitchell – has two-year-old twin daughters Jaimee and Maiya with husband Theo. But she’s revealed that her family life stops her living a wild time like her soap character.
Rita told the Daily Mirror: “Being a mum has made me boring. I used to be outrageous, quite wild and I loved to party. I was mouthy like Roxy and up for a good time.
“Now I’m more likely to spend my nights off in front of the TV with my husband and a glass of wine. The kids have tamed me. But I wouldn’t swap what I have for anything.”
The 31-year-old actress also confessed she feels terribly guilty leaving them at home to go to work, but she loves her job.
She said: “I’m racked with guilt most days. I leave for work and the girls are standing at the front door, screaming and crying. It’s a constant battle.
“I threw myself into being a mum. I’d spend my days cleaning, cooking, taking them to the park and making the most of being a mummy.
“I loved it, but I’m not the sort who could do that for ever. I need to work.
“As soon as I get home I’m thrown into Mummy Land.”
