The producers of EastEnders have teased the show’s festive storylines. Over the years we have come to expect that it’s never the season of joy down Walford way when Christmas rolls around, and this year is no exception!

Before the big day, Walford resident Vincent Hubbard runs into trouble when the police informant, played by Richard Blackwood, has to defend himself as the war between the Mitchells and Hubbards escalates.

He finds himself in hot water when two masked men confront him, in scenes to be shown on the BBC soap on 14 December.

The feud between the two families, which started after Vincent got close to Ronnie Mitchell (Samantha Womack) and was warned off by her cousin Phil (Steve McFadden), continues to spiral out of control with both clans going to extreme measures to protect their loved ones.

But as the rivalry reaches its climax, someone gets caught in the crossfire. And with one character expected to be killed off, will the feud reach a deadly conclusion?

Meanwhile, the Mitchells spend Christmas Day with the Beales, but events soon take a sinister turn for their children, Bobby and Denny.

Over at The Vic, Mick and Linda Carter – played by Danny Dyer and Kellie Bright – plan their wedding day, a day they’ve dreamed of since they were teenagers, but will they get their happily ever after when a vengeful Dean returns?

And in true soap tradition, anyone who’s heavily pregnant is bound to give birth on the 25 December.

Enter Stacey Branning, who has discovered she is expecting Kush’s baby and is trying to keep her secret from Martin Fowler and Shabnam Masood – but will the truth come out when her waters break?
