Kacey said she’d consider Little Mo comeback only if the character wasn’t diluted
Former EastEnders star Kacey Ainsworth has revealed that she’s talked with the actresses who played her screen sisters about her one day returning as Little Mo.
The 49-year-old actress, who earlier this year insisted the soap “will be back” after it was snubbed in the BAFTA TV nominations, revealed on Loose Women that she’s had lots of conversations about Little Mo one day heading back to Albert Square.
“She was such a great character and I’m still in contact with all of my screen sisters… we’ve talked a lot in the past about going back and the writers on EastEnders are amazing and brilliant and my old boss [John Yorke, who introduced Little Mo into EastEnders] is there now and we’ve talked lots of different storylines…”
Kacey said, though, that she was extremely busy filming ITV hit Grantchester, which could thwart an EastEnders return. “It would have to be logistically right. She was such a brilliant character. I wouldn’t want to dilute her. It’s not a definite no, it’s never a definite no.”
She later joked that she’d only go back if she got the chance to go behind the bar of the Queen Vic and snog Danny Dyer!
Little Mo took centre stage in one of the soap’s most shocking moments when she famously killed her abusive husband Trevor by whacking him over the head with an iron.
Little Mo was on the show between 2000 and 2006.
