There was Alfie, all set to confess to Kat that he started the fire that left her with horrific scars – and she stopped him in his tracks with a marriage proposal.
It made BBC1’s EastEnders the most watched soap on Thursday, October 23, with 6.45million viewers tuning in to watch the drama. ITV’s Emmerdale had an audience of 6.34million for its 7.00pm episode and 6.16million for its second Thursday-night episode at 8.00pm, while Hollyoaks scored 807,000 on Channel 4 at 6.30pm.
It all happened quickly and quietly at a register office, with a couple of nurses as witnesses, on the day Kat got out of hospital. No drama at all.
The drama’s going to come when Kat does find out that Alfie’s the reason she’s now scarred for life… And that drama’s going to come soon!
EastEnders continues on BBC1, Monday, October 27, 8.00pm.
