Kat’s getting nervous about perjuring herself in EastEnders

EastEnders‘ Kat Moon is set to feel the pressure when she takes the stand in Janine Butcher’s trial.

Kat (Jessie Wallace) has agreed to commit perjury in court, and lie for Janine, as part of a deal the soap superbitch has made with her cousin Stacey Branning.

Janine (Charlie Brooks) is on trial for the murder of husband Michael Moon (Steve John Shepherd). She tried to frame Alice Branning (Jasmyn Banks) for the crime, and now they both stand accused of murder.

Kat has agreed to be a false witness for Janine and back up her story that Alice is the guilty one.

In return Janine will drop her accusations that Stacey (Lacey Turner) tried to stab her, so Stacey can move back to Albert Square and live near her family in peace.

But when Kat finds herself on the witness stand, in front of the judge and jury, will she be able to go ahead with the plan, or will she find herself forced to tell the truth?

These episodes transmit on EastEnders on Tuesday, March 18 and Thursday, March 20.
