Lisa Maxwell says she would be interested in extending her guest role on EastEnders.
The actress and Loose Women presenter makes a one-off appearance in the BBC soap tomorrow night (September 27), as Naomi, the girlfriend of bad boy David Wicks (Michael French).
The episode sees Naomi and David ruin Carol Jackson and Masood Ahmed’s plans for a romantic night.
Lisa told ITV’s Daybreak: “It couldn’t have been better. It was pretty much a four-hander, the episode. We had rehearsals, which apparently is unheard of at EastEnders, so it was a really lovely experience.”
Asked about returning to Albert Square, the former star of The Bill said: “Well, she doesn’t die at the end. There’s always that. Yeah, I think she could. She could come back. She’s in love with David Wicks and they’ve been having an affair for quite some time, from what I gather, so there’s unfinished business there.
“I did love it. I did enjoy it. If the experience working on EastEnders is anything like the one I had doing that episode, then in a heartbeat I’d go back.”
Lisa added: “There’s something really nerve-wracking about watching it with the nation. It’s a big show, isn’t it? The reaction to just being in that one episode has been quite overwhelming.”
