Pam St Clement will return to EastEnders later this year, four years after the death of her much-loved character Pat Butcher.
She is reported to make an appearance during the final scenes of Peggy Mitchell (Barbara Windsor) as her friend loses her battle with cancer.

As Pat popped her clogs on New Year’s Day 2012 after a battle with pancreatic cancer, The Sun reports that she is expected to return as a hallucination.
It’s not the first time she’s made a brief return as Pat appeared as a ghost in a concussion sequence where Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) was reunited with murdered daughter Lucy for a Children In Need special in 2014.
An insider said soap bosses are ‘going to great lengths to pull out all of the stops for Barbara’s final episodes’.

They revealed: “Both Barbara and Peggy are EastEnders icons so viewers can expect lots of surprises for Peggy’s final episodes.
“They are not to be missed and will go down in EastEnders history.”
Dangly-earring fan Pat and Queen Vic landlady Peggy were legends on the soap during their heyday, as love rivals for the attention of Frank Butcher (Mike Reid) and eventually best friends.

Pat was one of the soap’s longest-running characters, living in Albert Square for over 25 years, while Barbara, who was made a Dame on Tuesday, will be wrapping up her role as Peggy after first appearing in 1994.
The soap already confirmed that it has managed to secure the return of Ross Kemp, who played Peggy’s son Grant Mitchell from 1990-1999, for Barbara’s final scenes.
The upcoming scenes will screen on EastEnders in the spring.
