Him & Her actor Ricky Champ to join EastEnders as childhood friend of Mick Carter. And it could spell trouble for Mick!

Following the news earlier today that Halfway would be heading back to Walford, EastEnders has tonight announced that Him & Her actor Ricky Champ will join the cast as Stuart Highway, the older brother of Halfway.

Stuart is a born and bred East End guy and he arrives in the Square following Halfway’s return from duty. Mick is delighted to see his old mate but it looks like Sturart’s arrival will cause BIG trouble for Mick. Stuart has always been a naughty influence on Mick and it seems Stuart might lead his old friend astray again, causing bother for the Carters.

Ricky, who’s also enjoyed roles in Game of Thrones and Crims, said: “I’m so happy to be part of this brilliant team of people on this great show that I grew up watching. Look out Albert Square… Stuart’s coming!”

Stuart and Tony Clay, who plays Halfway, are already filming and will both be seen on screen in the coming weeks.

Tony said of his return as Halfway: “I’m really happy and excited to be back on EastEnders and working with such a brilliant cast and crew. Halfway is such a lovely role to play and I’m really looking forward to exploring his story further and seeing where it takes us.”
