Emmerdale‘s Chelsea Halfpenny has revealed she loves fighting in the soap because it makes her feel like an action star.

The young actress plays tearaway teen Amy Wyatt, whose estranged mother Kerry, played by Laura Norton, is about to make a surprise entry in the village causing a big clash between the pair.

Chelsea said: “Fight scenes are my favourite because then you get a stunt man on set, and that makes me feel like I’m in Charlie’s Angels or something.”

And the soap star doesn’t like to play safe on set.

She revealed: “I always say ‘Really go for it. Don’t hold back. Just do it.’ I’m not bothered if I get hit.”

Chelsea is looking forward to seeing more of Amy’s vulnerable side as her relationship with her mother is exposed.

The tough teenager has always hidden her emotions, except when she gave birth to Cain Dingle’s baby and had to give him up for adoption.

Chelsea said: “I want to explore her emotional side, because the only time you got to see her deep down without this front was when she had the baby and she was talking to him. I think it’s going to be nice to see her vulnerable side behind all her orange make-up and dreadlocks.”

She admitted she hates all the heavy make-up her character wears.

She revealed: “I think Amy gets it from her mum. I think she saw her put it on and thought ‘That looks class!'”
