Emmerdale star Trudie Goodwin says it was an unforgettable experience tackling The Three Peaks Challenge in aid of cancer charity Macmillan.
Trudie, who plays Georgia Sharma in Emmerdale, climbed the three highest Peaks in Yorkshire, a 25-mile route which reaches the summits of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, while taking in the beautiful landscape of the Yorkshire Dales.
Trudie said: “As one of the toughest challenges in the Yorkshire dales, I reckon that I’ve done Georgia and the Woolpack gang proud! The Three Peaks Challenge for Macmillan is a challenging one day hike, but the Team Macmillan camaraderie and enormous sense of achievement at the summit definitely made it worth the blisters!
“Regardless of your physical ability, signing up to the Three Peaks Challenge for Macmillan is not only a brilliant way to fundraise for those affected by cancer, but also offer an unforgettable experience.”
Macmillan hold the Three Peaks Challenge at various points throughout the year. Please go to macmillan.org.uk/challenge for more details. You can experience the stunning scenery and make a big difference to the lives of people affected by cancer.
