Emmerdale actor Wil Johnson has revealed that there will be a ‘massive’ storyline involving romantically entangled Dom, Alicia, David and Priya.

The 48-year-old, who plays mechanic Dom in the ITV soap, said there will be ‘tension’ and a lot of juicy drama in the plot, which will play out on Emmerdale later this year.

“There’s a key storyline coming up, which we start filming at the end of August. It’s all to do with the love triangle between Dom, Alicia, David and Priya,” he said.

“There’ll be lots of juicy stuff to get our teeth into, so at the moment, he’s just floating around the village, being ‘Mr Leather’ on his bike and part-time mechanic.”

Wil – who is supporting the campaign encouraging people to sign up to the NHS Organ Donor Register – teased he already knows how it’ll end.

“I know the overall storyline and the conclusion. You can expect some dynamics, tension and drama, and perhaps the odd bit of bed-hopping,” he hinted.

The actor reckons his alter-ego is holding back his feelings for Alicia, because of her unresolved issues with ex-husband David.

“I think Dom, as much as he likes Alicia – and he does, as she’s the first woman he’s fallen for since his wife – he is also aware that there is residue in terms of David,” he explained.

“The reason why their relationship has been very up and down is because of their personalities, and because he’s aware that something else is at play. The more time he spends with her, the more he’s developing strong, deep feelings for her which could turn out to be love. Alicia should be with David – he’s a geezer.”
