Emmerdale actor Luke Tittensor has been sacked from the soap for attacking a teenager.

The actor – who plays Daz Eden – has been axed by the ITV1 soap after he pleaded guilty to Grievous Bodily Harm (GBH) against an unnamed 16-year old.

A spokesperson for Emmerdale told The Sun: “As Luke has pleaded guilty to the serious charge of GBH and we cannot condone criminal behaviour, we have met with Luke and his agent to explain that his contract with Emmerdale will be terminated.

“Luke regrets his behaviour and understands this situation.”

Luke pleaded guilty at Rochdale crown court last month to shattering the jaw of the 16-year-old and awaits sentencing on Wednesday April 29.

Luke, who joined Emmerdale in 2003, had been temporarily written out of the soap when charges were brought against him.

He has recently been at the centre of a steamy storyline with his foster sister Victoria Sugden, who has revealed she is pregnant with Daz’s child.

Prior to Emmerdale, Luke shared the role of Carl Gallagher with twin brother Elliot in Channel 4’s Shameless.
