Jade Ewen is the favourite to win the final of Eurovision: Your Country Needs You on Saturday, and go on to represent the UK at the Eurovision Song Contest.

Bookmakers Paddy Power are offering odds of 10-11 on the 21-year-old beating fellow finalists Mark Evans and The Twins, for the chance to perform at the annual music event, which will take place in Moscow on May 16.

Mark is second favourite at 6-5, while The Twins, Francine and Nicola, are the outsiders with odds of 6-1.

The winning act will sing the song My Time at the contest, which has been penned by Andrew Lloyd Webber with lyrics by legendary American songwriter Diane Warren.

All three acts will perform the track on Saturday’s show, as well as each singing two other songs.

Meanwhile Jade has revealed that she almost gave up on the idea of becoming a singer after being dropped by her record label twice when she was in her teens.

She told The Sun that she thought she had failed a third time after landing in the bottom two on last Saturday’s show, only to be saved by Lord Lloyd Webber.

“I’m just thankful to have got this far,” she said.
