It’s finally springtime in Alaska – and everyone’s hungry!
We return to Alaska for this second episode in which, after the long and harsh winter, spring has finally arrived to melt the sea ice and turn the snow-covered landscape green.
A hungry and pregnant Arctic fox is looking for a meal.
She relies upon tiny little voles that live under the snow and while she can hear her lunch scurrying about, catching it is another matter altogether.
There are also stunning sharp-tailed grouse strutting their stuff to attract a mate, while a mother bear is teaching her 15-month-old cubs how
to catch clams.
High up in the north, a herd of magnificent musk ox welcomes some new calves and a pair of bald eagles are also busy keeping up with the demands of their newborn chick.
