Team GB's KJT and Jessica are set to battle it out as the heptathlon events begin…

Jessica Ennis-Hill starts her 2016 Olympic journey today as she begins her two-day heptathlon events, with the 100m hurdles first up.

She has fellow Brit Katarina Johnson-Thompson breathing down her neck, though, a young woman who has found terrific form (she recently beat Ennis-Hill in the long jump), and has put her poor performance at last year’s Beijing World Championships behind her.

The 23-year-old Liverpudlian has plenty of time to make her mark, considering Ennis-Hill was 26 when she won gold at the London 2012 Olympics.

But both Brits have a steely eye on Canada’s Brianne Theisen-Eaton, who’s just won the world indoor title and has been the best outdoors this year, too…
