Ray Mears continues his exploration of Australia’s wild places in the Flinders Ranges in South Australia.

He’s on a mission to find the country’s largest bird of prey – the wedge-tailed eagle – big enough to pick up an emu and known for chasing kangaroos off cliffs.

But to spot this majestic bird of prey, Ray must take to the skies with bush pilot Paul O’Brien, where they hope to catch a glimpse of eagles riding the thermal currents.

Showing in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland on Sunday 26 November, 9.30am.
