Bernie’s got family trouble!

The trauma surgeon has a tough decision to make when her personal and professional life collide...

Bernie’s thrown when her son Cameron, who she hasn’t seen for weeks, is admitted with injuries following a car accident. Bernie’s former registrar Keeley has also been admitted – Cameron and Keeley claim they bumped into each other at a party and Cameron claims he was the driver.

Cameron soon admits to Bernie that Keeley was driving – and she was drunk! Bernie’s horrified when Cameron admits he’s covering for Keeley because they’re in a relationship and he doesn’t want her to go to prison. He orders Bernie to respect their decision or risk losing him forever.

Later, despite her concerns that Cameron will never forgive her, Bernie does what she thinks is best for him and tells police Keeley was the driver. As Cameron accepts that Bernie did the right thing, it looks like their relationship could be on the mend…

Meanwhile, after the traumatic events in the pharmacy when Essie was held hostage by junkie Ivor, she and Sacha join pharmacist Mel in a meeting with Hanssen to discuss what happened. As Essie gives her take on events, Sacha realises she’s suggesting that if he hadn’t barged in and pushed Ivor onto the floor covered in broken glass, then Ivor would still be alive.

It seems Sacha and Essie can’t agree on anything and, as they clash repeatedly over patient Lucy, Mel advises Essie to see how lucky she is to have him. And it’s obvious Sacha is desperate to keep their relationship intact….

Also, Morven arrives at Holby on her day off, keen to avoid another day alone in her flat grieving for Arthur. She soon finds herself working with Jasmine, who reveals she’s in need of somewhere to live. As they bond over patient Dudley, it looks like Morven may have found a roommate…
