This week the warmhearted family cooking contest moves from Tuesday to Thursday (at least this way co-presenter Nadiya Hussain isn’t being pitted against The Great British Bake Off, the show which made her famous).

Tonight’s families are the Pigotts, three brothers who live in different cities but regularly get together to cook, and the Hilliards, a mum and her two daughters, one of whom became interested in cooking after she was diagnosed with cancer and wanted to find foods that might help her treatment.
