Steph tries to explain to Charlie that she’s much better now, but he doesn’t want to hear it. Later, after a talk with Susan, Charlie agrees to hear Steph out. She gives him a pile of letters she’s been writing to him, expressing how much she loves him. Before heading back to Bendigo with Lyn, he gives Steph some much-needed hope.

Brad tells a worried Paige that Doug is at his best in the morning but deteriorates towards the evening. Paige suggests they move the wedding time forward a few hours, determined to have Doug attend while he’s at his best. She messages Mark but doesn’t hear back from him.

Meanwhile, at the station, Paige’s fingerprints have shown up on stolen goods and Detective Ellen tells Mark that Paige has a second phone containing incriminating text messages. Mark reels as Ellen reveals they’ll have to bring Paige in for questioning. Mark heads for the Turner backyard to find the wedding congregation waiting, and Paige, his bride, waiting to marry him…
