Dylan buries his demons in Casualty

The arrival of an unexpected Christmas card from Berlin, which Dylan suspects from his former-lover, however, means Ciara is never far from Dylan’s thoughts…

It’s safe to say nurse Louise Tyler is not feeling festive, and who can blame her. Since taking on a senior role in the ED, the overworked medic has had heaps more responsibility but minimal pay increase. In fact, she’s working over the holidays because she can’t raise enough cash to visit her brother.

It’s a sad state of affairs but at least nurse pal Jacob Masters is on hand to offer Louise support. He’s also intent on treating her to a few seasonal Sherries after their shift.

One of Casualty’s cutest couples, newly in-love Gem Dean and Rash Masum have decided not to spend Christmas together. Rash’s mum wants him all to herself, and Gem is okay with that.

In the meantime, hospital porter Gem is happy to work alongside junior doctor Rash on the wards this Christmas Eve. And it’s a good thing streetwise Gem is on duty. She’s the only staff member to notice agency nurse Amy Nugent acting suspiciously. When there’s a sinister development Gem – with help from cheery receptionist Noel – is first to realise what’s really going on. With time running out for vulnerable patients, will Gem and Noel end up saving patients lives?
