Assault victim, doctor Alicia Munroe, lashes out at her friend Bea Kinsella when the junior doctor betrays her confidence in Casualty this week. Recently Alicia (Chelsea Halfpenny) confided in Bea about her sexual assault ordeal involving junior doctor Eddie McAllister. This week, when Alicia makes it clear she’s not willing to report Eddie to the police, Bea struggles to keep Alicia’s secret…
As the day progresses Alicia attempts to prove she’s moved on, and is even civil to Eddie. But later, when Bea (Michelle Fox) overhears Eddie giving co-worker Rash questionable dating advice she snaps and tells Eddie she knows what he did!
When Eddie confronts Alicia about Bea’s accusation, any sense of progress Alicia felt she was making crumbles. This leads to a heated showdown with Bea, resulting in Alicia slapping Bea across the face… in front of everyone at work.
Meanwhile, clinical lead Connie Beauchamp’s eyes are gleaming when she opens her new Trauma Centre. Doctor Dylan Keogh, however, is cynical about whether she can remain strictly hands off – and he is right! It’s not long before Connie is interfering in patients’ treatment and surgical procedures. Is she about to blow her friendship with doctor Elle Gardner?
Elsewhere, Jacob ends up hiding out in the back of an ambulance when his teenage son, Blake, pays paramedic Sam Nicholls a visit. Realising Jacob hasn’t told Blake they’re an item she decides to punish Jacob!
Also this week, Gem is unimpressed when Rash attempts to ask her out in the forceful style Eddie recommended. Nurse David Hide quietly congratulates Dylan on being four months sober. And Alicia’s outburst has consequences. Connie assures Bea she’ll deal with the matter, while Bea decides to book her flights to Paris for the International Trauma Course.
