Casualty spoilers: Will traumatised doctor Alicia Munroe confide in Bea? And new paramedic Ruby has a rude awakening!
Our hearts go out to doctor Alicia Munroe again this week in Casualty, as she finds it increasingly difficult to cope at work. Constantly on edge Alicia battles to contain her feelings and struggles to be in the same room as junior doctor Eddie McAllister, who recently attacked her.
Matters come to a head when stressed Alicia loses her temper with Eddie while treating a patient, causing her to misdiagnose the man under her care. Later, when furious Connie demands to know what happened, Eddie covers for Alicia – but does he have ulterior motives?
Knowing Alicia is deeply troubled by something, her housemate and friend, junior doctor Bea, begs Alicia to open up to her. Is traumatised Alicia ready to talk to Bea about happened on the fateful night she invited Eddie to stay over at her flat?
Elsewhere, new paramedic Ruby Sparks (played by EastEnders’ Maddy Hill) joins Iain and Sam on ambulance duties – and so begins one of the most gruelling days of her life. Ruby is clearly book-smart but lacks experience. When Ruby makes the wrong call on a patient, she ends the shift in Jan’s office in tears… could Ruby’s first day be her last?
Meanwhile, Sam still hasn’t told Jacob why she stood him up. How will Jacob react when he discovers his teenage son, Blake, tried to kiss Sam?
Also this week, Noel is determined to draw attention to the NHS’s 70th anniversary. Alicia is concerned that Eddie has Ruby on his radar. Is Eddie’s career on the line when he takes the blame for a mistake made by Alicia? Ethan is terrified that Alicia will report him for allowing Scott Ellisson to die. And Iain’s left shaken up when Ruby bins his kebab!
