When a drug dealer’s body is found at a shrine to a young suicide victim, Banks is initially baffled by a string of different leads. However, his investigation soon takes him to the posh house of an old adversary, Steve Richards (Shaun Dooley), a man who apparently hides his criminal empire behind a respectable façade.
Banks loathes Richards because he once mounted a double murder case against him, which collapsed. This time, Banks is determined to get his man – but will he let his emotions cloud his judgement?
There’s a real energy about this opening episode and Stephen Tompkinson is on top form as the grumbling Banks.
