Zara Carmichael is in for a surprise on Doctors when her new fella Adam Regan reveals some unexpected news about his twin brother, Gareth!
Things are going rather nicely between Zara Carmichael (played by Elisabeth Dermot Walsh) and her new surgeon boyfriend Adam Regan (Edward MacLiam) on Doctors (1:45pm on BBC One, see our TV Guide for full listings).
But what’s the latest on Adam’s twin brother, Gareth?
Over lunch at The Icon, Zara is in for a surprise when Adam reveals Gareth has been suspended from work and kicked out by his wife. So now he’s homeless!
Adam wonders if Zara knows of any rooms for rent locally in Letherbridge. Actually, she does. But will Zara let on about her friend Emma Reid’s (Dido Miles) B&B set-up, when she knows single Emma has already been asking questions about Gareth.
If Zara puts the pair under the same roof, it could be asking for trouble!
Speaking of trouble, Zara’s ex, Daniel Granger (Matthew Chambers) hasn’t been doing so well since his break-up with the surgery’s former practice manager, Becky Clarke, and arguments with Zara.
Noticing that Daniel is on edge, work colleague Jimmi Clay (Adrian Lewis Morgan) approaches him and offers to listen if Daniel needs to talk to someone.
But given Jimmi and Daniel’s prickly past, after Daniel had an affair with Jimmi’s then wife, Cherry, can Daniel bring himself to open up to Jimmi about his troubles?
Elsewhere, could it be that Al Haskey (Ian Midlane) is already discovering that running a bar is not the rock ‘n roll experience he was hoping for?
Al and business partner Jimmi still haven’t found a bar manager. So desperate Al decides to hire the first person who comes along! But has he made a terrible mistake?
ALSO, Emma meets a couple Vicky Sanders (Billie North) and Jo Sanders (Pepter Lunkuse) who are struggling to balance motherhood with the challenges of both being in the army.
Matters aren’t helped when it’s looking uncertain if Jo will be redeployed in the army after a period of absence for injury…
Doctors continues weekdays at 1:45pm on BBC One
