It's the first day of new business partners Jimmi Clay and Al Haskey's beer brewing course on Doctors. But things don't get off to a good start...
Jimmi Clay (played by Adrian Lewis Morgan) has already had his doubts about going into business with best mate Al Haskey (Ian Midlane) to take over the running of the local Icon Bar on Doctors (1:45pm on BBC One, see our TV Guide for full listings).
But with their bank loan and business plan approved, it’s now full-steam ahead!
In today’s episode of Doctors, it’s the first day of Al and Jimmi’s beer brewing course.
However, Jimmi finds himself embarassed by Al’s bad behaviour after Al takes a disliking to their “hipster” teacher, Otis Hegseth (Tom Shepherd) and vows to make things difficult for him.
As Al starts to show-off and heckle Otis in front of the rest of the class, will Jimmi lose patience with his new business partner?
Elsewhere in Letherbridge, Daniel Granger (Matthew Chambers) has got over the shock of girlfriend Becky Clarke’s (Ali Bastian) unexpected baby bombshell.
Now the couple are feeling super-happy and start making plans for the future. Becky confides in surgery nurse Ayesha Lee (Laura Rollins) how happy she is with her job as surgery practice manager and with Daniel. And she even starts to see the bright side when she begins to feel nauseous.
However, things are about to take a terrible turn…
Meanwhile, Dr Zara Carmichael (Elisabeth Dermot Walsh) meets friends Jessica Richards (Bethan Witcomb) and Sonja Peterman (Elizabeth Cadwallader) who are both eight months pregnant.
However, there’s a mystery to be solved when first Sonja objects to a health check by Zara.
And then when Jessica goes into labour at home, Zara rushes to assist and wonders why Sonja doesn’t appear to have called an ambulance.
With Jessica about to give birth, will Zara uncover the twisted secret between the friends?
Doctors continues weekdays at 1:45pm on BBC One
