Surgery Practice Manager, Mrs Tembe is in for a surprise, when she investigates why a patient, Bridie O’Leary, has missed several appointments.
When she turns up for a home visit, Mrs Tembe discovers Bridie has died, after meeting her son Nick O’Leary, who apologises for not informing The Mill of his mum’s passing.
With preparations for Bridie’s funeral underway, Mrs Tembe finds herself getting involved and steps in to offer some life advice when Nick reveals he is having love troubles with “a friend of the family”, Scott Parish, who won’t commit to an official relationship.
Can Mrs Tembe work her magic to bring the two men together?
Elsewhere in Letherbridge, Karen Hollins takes her former foster son James Coulter for a medical assessment, and discovers James is has behaviour traits of someone on the autism spectrum.
After finding out more about James’s past, will Karen be up for the challenge ahead helping the troubled lad?
Meanwhile, Shak Hanif comes to the surgery for medical attention, but tries to avoid seeing his midwife mum, Ruhma or his stepdad, Dr Heston Carter. Can surgery receptionist Valerie Pitman make sure the family members don’t accidentally meet!
