Drag SOS – C4

A team of dazzling drag queens perform some fabulous makeovers and help Brits unleash their secret divas in C4's Drag SOS…

RuPaul’s Drag Race meets Queer Eye in sparkly new makeover series Drag SOS, which follows a group of drag queens on a mission to find the UK’s inner fabulous.

This week, Cheddar Gorgeous, Anna Phylactic, Liquorice Black, Lill and TeTe Bang – Manchester-based drag collective Family Gorgeous – head to Dover to transform three people in need of a life-changing experience.

But when single mum Abby, student Nico and football-loving dad Shaun agree to step into the ‘Drag Lab’, will they emerge brave enough to deliver a lip-sync performance in front of family and friends?

A fun and poignant watch, as the participants open up about their lives and struggles.

The series is based on a stage show, isn’t it?

Yes, Anna Phylactic and I started our Drag Lab in a Manchester nightclub, where we invite people to dress up and perform on stage.

A lot of people think drag is a way of masking something or becoming a different person, when, in fact, it’s a way of projecting yourself to the world in a big, bold, fantastic way.

What sort of people are you looking to work your magic on?

Everyone!

Whether you’re male, female, straight or gay, young or old, drag is all about finding your most glamorous route to self-confidence.

The people who you least expect to excel at drag are often those who have something that is bursting to get out.

Any top tips on how we can unleash our inner divas?

Don’t be afraid to make a mistake, don’t worry about what anyone thinks of you, and there’s no such thing as too much.

Drag is about being your most fabulous self, even if it’s just for one night!
