It's the 1000th episode of Casualty and, aptly, one of Holby ED's most popular characters, Duffy, returns
Lisa ‘Duffy’ Duffin makes a surprise re-appearance in the ED this week… and has an impact on a number of the ED staff, especially Charlie, Elle and Louise.
But what has brought the nurse back to Holby? Where are her husband and children? And why has she not been in touch with her old pal, Charlie?
Elsewhere, Rita’s confident her relationship with Iain is stronger than ever. No, it’s not because she’s deluded but because, once again, Iain has failed to dump her and instead opted for another night of passion with the senior nurse!
The penny starts to drop, however, when Rita spots Iain trying to avoid her when she visits the paramedic bay. As luck would have it, Iain injures his private parts in trying to hide from Rita and she ends up treating him… with a very large needle!
Is it time for Iain to confess he’s not interested in a serious commitment?
Also this week, Elle’s given hell by her co-workers, as the ED staff prepares to give recently suspended Charlie a warm welcome back.
Dylan is tested to his emotional limits when both his baby sister and his chronically ill dad are admitted to the ED. Will he be able to treat them as dispassionately as he’d like?
Robyn is dreading seeing Glen at the next Mortality Café session and turns to David for support.
Meanwhile, Noel tries to deal with Big Mac’s departure, and Louise comes face-to-face with her biggest fear. Will she rise to the challenge?
