Daz Spencer (Mark Jordon) is delighted after landing a new job and wastes no time in celebrating with his new boss Trish.

A couple of drinks turns into a full-on boozy event and Trish later asks if Daz can come back to her house to sign the paperwork for his new role.

Daz feels he has no option but to agree and soon finds himself in a taxi with Trish.

However, he drunkenly misreads Trish’s signals when he thinks she’s flirting with him and tells her he’s not prepared to be her ‘play thing!’

Daz Spencer Emmerdale

Daz is stranded

A mortified Daz bundles out but quickly realises he’s left his phone and wallet behind and is now well and truly stranded in the middle of nowhere. There’s only one thing for it…he’ll have to walk home.

Meanwhile back in the village Noah Dingle (Jack Downham) and Leanna Cavanagh (Mimi Slinger) spot Daz’s new company car and decide to take it out for a joy ride.

As they speed off into the countryside, Amelia Spencer, who’s with them, begs them to turn back and when Leanna refuses they get into an argument.

As the row escalates, Amelia (Daisy Campbell) pulls Leanna’s hair causing Leanna to lose control and the car to swerve onto the grass verge and into a field!

Elsewhere Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt)  shows Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) a tree he carved their names into, along with baby Grace’s name. Chas draws a love heart around the three names and the pair of them share an emotional embrace.

The second Thursday episode of Emmerdale follows later at 8pm.
