Drunk and humiliated after losing her job, disgraced headmistress Jessie has a massive meltdown in Emmerdale... and blames hubby Marlon!
Jessie Dingle (played by Sandra Marvin) may have jumped before she was pushed on Emmerdale, but the former headmistress of Hotten Academy is still feeling humiliated about losing her job.
So in today’s episode, Jessie is not in the mood when busybody neighbour Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler) starts having a go at her about the school scandal involving sexual predator teacher Maya Stepney and teenage student Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant).
However, after Jessie’s angry outburst in the middle of the pub, when she delivers some SHOCK home truths about the children of the village, she goes on to blame her husband Marlon (Mark Charnock) for her outburst, to the surprise of her sons Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle) and Ellis Chapman (Asan N’Jie).
Elsewhere in the village, Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson) is starting to feel hopeful about the future, despite the terrible aftermath of the fire at his family’s sweet factory which has left them facing financial ruin, and accusations over WHO started the fire.
With Kim Tate (Claire King) now on board, it looks like the factory could re-open its doors.
However, Kim is not a woman who takes a backseat when it comes to business. So when she immediately demands to review company staffing levels, should Jai take that as a sign there could be some hirings… and firings?
Emmerdale continues weeknights at 19:00 on ITV.
