Pc Tony Stamp is on his last shift at Sun Hill and it involves a very distressing case of child abuse… Following a call, Pc Leon Taylor has found 18-month-old Chelsea unconscious at home with her mother Lily Wright. The baby has a head injury, which her mum says was caused by a fall from her high chair. But Leon’s not convinced. Lily’s partner Gavin has been issued with a restraining order, to keep him away from Lily and Chelsea. Leon thinks Gavin made a surprise visit…

At the hospital, Tony tries to comfort Lily as the doctors work on Chelsea. Meanwhile, forensic evidence shows that the baby’s injuries are not accidental. Leon and Inspector ‘Smithy’ Smith have questioned Gavin, who has an alibi. That just leaves Lily. She’s been lying; Chelsea didn’t fall out of her chair. Upset by the evidence, Tony has to arrest Lily on suspicion of assaulting her daughter. Further investigation, though, reveals that Gavin was at Lily’s house that morning. But Lily is defending her partner. So, how are the officers going to find out exactly what happened and keep Chelsea safe?

At the end of the day, it’s time for Tony to move on to his new job as an Advanced Training Instructor. But he doesn’t leave without talking over the old days with Smithy…
